Admixture system for runway and apron concrete
Each 1% of extra air lowers strength by about 5%; a superplasticizer offsets this. Admixtures are added to the mix separately.
Plasticising
FloorGrade S 34 lowers the water/cement ratio and holds slump for paver placement and long hauls.
Air entraining
AerGrade 3 protects the concrete against freeze-thaw and de-icing salts.
Winter placing
SetGrade 580 accelerates setting in cold weather; fresh concrete should be at least 5–15 °C.
Curing
CureGrade is sprayed right after placing to prevent water loss and plastic shrinkage cracks.
